You stay in control of every detail
Share your story, safely
Adding your experience to the record can help move this, but only on your terms. Here is exactly what we will and won’t publish, and how to send it with the least risk to your household.
What we may publish (with your consent)
- ✓Your situation described by state and general circumstance (e.g. “a Pacific Northwest caregiver household in active foreclosure”)
- ✓The documented pattern your experience illustrates
- ✓Only the minimum detail needed to make the point, and only what you approve
What we will never publish
- ✗Your name, address, or any contact information
- ✗Your loan number, court case number, or any agency file number
- ✗Any reference to a minor child
- ✗Anything that could let a servicer, court, agency, or your local community recognize your household
- ✗Any detail about a pending legal matter you ask us to keep private
Minimum-necessary-detail
Before you send anything, ask: does this detail help make the point, or could it identify my household? When in doubt, leave it out. We would rather have a safe, general account than a specific one that puts you at risk.

Before you send
If you are in active foreclosure or facing eviction, please also see I need help now for vetted legal and housing resources. Sharing your story is never a substitute for legal help, and it is entirely optional.
